PSHE

Our Vision for Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)

At Long Buckby Infant School we use a unique, spiral, progressive and effective scheme of work, aiming to prepare children/young people for life, helping them really know and value who they are and understand how they relate to other people in this ever-changing world.

Implementation

At Long Buckby Infant School, PSHE supports children by providing them with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their well-being, health and relationships. The curriculum enables them to build positive and safe relationships with family and friends by ensuring they are taught the following, before they leave our school.

  • Being Me in My World
  • Celebrating Difference
  • Dreams and Goals
  • Healthy Me
  • Relationships
  • Changing Me

PSHE, is a hugely important part of our school and is taught weekly, through a scheme of work called Jigsaw.

Impact

To support children with their wellbeing, health and relationships and prepare them for the next steps in their lives.
